Black holes in non-perturbative gravity

I will discuss subtleties of constructing black hole solutions in higher and infinite derivative gravity theories. Special attention will be paid to questions why infinite derivatives are important and how to deal with infinite derivative equations. A connection between presence of a singularity and a structure of a non-perturbative graviton propagator will be highlighted.
