Modified gravity and strong coupling issues

I will review popular topics in modified gravity, mostly related to new geometries of teleparallel type. It's very often that we don't have a good enough idea about the number of their degrees of freedom, for them not being well defined. I will also discuss perturbation theory and the Hamiltonian analysis which should be done with great care in these cases.
